Welcome to Riwaya AI: Quran & Islamic Guide (“Riwaya AI”, “the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Riwaya AI, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Riwaya AI Chat Input: When you use Riwaya AI, the text or voice messages you type or speak are processed to generate responses. We do not permanently store your individual chat conversations on our servers. Conversations may be cleared by you at any time.
• Speech Input: If you use voice input, audio is converted to text on-device or via the device's speech recognition service. We do not record or store raw audio.
• Promo Codes: If you enter a promotional code, it is verified against our database without storing personally identifiable information.

3.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, OS version, and app version for diagnostics and crash reporting.
• Usage Data: General feature usage patterns collected in anonymised, aggregated form.
• Crash Reports: Anonymised error and crash data to improve app stability.

3.3 Location Information

The app requests access to your device location solely to calculate the Qibla direction. Location data is used in real time and is not stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties. Location permission is optional.

3.4 Purchase Information

Payment transactions are processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive confirmation of purchase status through RevenueCat and Google Play Billing to verify your subscription.

3.5 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number unless you contact us directly.
• We do not collect biometric data.
• We do not build personal profiles or sell your data to advertisers.

Riwaya AI is our built-in Islamic AI assistant. Because AI features involve processing user input, we want to be fully transparent.

• Your messages are sent to an AI processing service to generate Islamic guidance responses.
• Messages are processed in real time to produce answers.
• Riwaya AI does not retain your conversation history on our servers beyond the active session.
• You can clear your local chat history at any time from within the app.

What Riwaya AI does NOT do:

• It does not store personally identifiable conversations linked to your identity.
• It does not use your conversations to train AI models without your explicit consent.
• It does not share your queries with advertisers or third-party marketing services.
• It does not access your contacts, photos, files, or other apps.

The free version of Riwaya AI may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your device settings:

Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation

Riwaya AI Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

• App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure device storage.
• Subscription status and promo code validation data stored in Firebase Firestore are protected using Firebase security rules and Google Cloud security standards.
• All data transmitted between the app and external services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Riwaya AI is suitable for general audiences including families and children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK).

If you believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at riwayaai.support@shaanhq.com and we will promptly delete that information.

All users:

• Clear your Riwaya AI chat history at any time within the app.
• Revoke location permission at any time through device settings.
• Opt out of personalised ads through device settings.
• Uninstall the app, which removes all locally stored data.

EU / EEA / UK Users (GDPR) — you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability.

California Users (CCPA) — you have rights to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
